Academic Jury, consisting of five people is made of professors and lecturers of design and art fields, they are individuals that have proven to be successful in their fields, the insights of academic jury and their experience is important in spotting unique designs, finding designs that excel in innovation, ergonomics and engineering. Usually picked from Professors of Universities.
Professional Jury, consists of producers of designs, these are the people who knows what sells, what already exists in the market, they are good at spotting tecnology, usability and functionality details and specific issues related to the field. Usually picked from managers, engineers from design-oriented companies, sometimes experienced designers will also be called.
An important team of jurors from business. Members of business who recognise design. Be it the products they produce or machinery they use in their factories or even their office, design is vital for them. Focus is more on medium size enterprise may or may not directly involve with design as business.
The Focus Group Jury, consisting of five people is made of design oriented individuals. The focus group was included in the voting system to normalize the biases that would be potentially created by the Academic and Professional Jury. The focus group consists of design bloggers, design lovers, magazine editors etc. They are good at spotting good presentations and fun-details in designs.
Joining and Announcing
The Jury is usually formed by invitation, however if you are interested to be a member, we would like to hear from you. Each Jury member is given a certificate, however we are not paying the jury members. Jury members will be announced at the end of a competition term.
